Philippine showbiz industry has seen good and bad days, but it was never embroiled in so much nasty rumors in the past that it is today; of actors swinging fists, and of actresses trading barbs and threats, of boyfriend-snatching and husband-grabbing, of theft, and of the nauseating "mamili ho kayo, siya o ako"...
Those were the days indeed...
Few weeks ago, it was Claudine Barretto versus Angelica Panganiban, ngayon naman it's Marian Rivera versus Bela Padilla...plus, Lola!
Is Marian just a pretty face? And Bela, a damsel in distress or lady-in-waiting?
According to Mrs. Eva Padilla, Bela's grandmother, the 19 year-old is never a warmonger; Marian, on the other hand, has been talked about in blogs and showbiz talk shows to have had few brushes with "not-so-nice" encounters with her fans, and some people in the industry who once worked with her.
Oh, well...roses have thorns.
At the end of the day, however sans make-up and kleighlights, beauty is only skin-deep. I hope these beautiful, young ladies will realize that fame is not a loyal bedmate; instead of fanning friction, why not talk like mature adults and settle differences as fast as they arise?

Claudine Barretto Versus Angelica Panganiban: And the Winner is...?
Peace on earth! Yup, three more months and it's Christmas.
Claudine and Angelica have been embroiled in a nasty gossip, which Claudine helped fan out of proportions by her untiring tweets to her tweethearts, while Angelica chose to keep mum, but later broke her silence to her lawyer (good move, girl!). A final demand letter for an apology/retraction was issued to Claudine, which apparently "zipped" her tweets, and this whole brouhaha might just end amicably.
And where does this bring us, mga usyusiro't usyusira? lol
In limbo, I guess, since we will never know who wins in the mudslinging contest of sorts, but in hindsight, this controversy won't help in the present status of Claudine and Angel's respective careers (and families), thus it is better move to leave this issue to rest.

KC and Piolo
I am a "rabid" Sharon Cuneta fan. "Am" and not "was" kasi hindi iyon kumupas katulad ng buhok na pumuputi sa pag daan ng panahon. Kaya lang, medyo bumaba ang "fan-nometer" ni Sharon sa akin ng pumasok na rin si KC sa showbiz. Yup, Sharon at KC na ako ngayon. I hope walang violent reaction from you, Sharon?
I watched the July 25th edition of The Buzz, specifically, Piolo's official statement about the issue surrounding his son, Inigo, and the latter's alleged "disgust" over KC; apparently sharing his 2 cents on what "he" or other people might have perceived as a blossoming romantic relationship between his Dad and the mega-daughter.
Hanga din naman ako sa pag gamit ng maraming tao sa mga social media networks ngayon; pati ba naman mga sama ng loob, naka tweet at YouTube kaagad? Haven't you thought even just for a milli-second na pwede ring mangyari sa inyo ang ma tweet or ma YouTube din ng negative? How would you feel?
Anyways, hindi confirmed kung si Inigo nga ang nag post noon, at walang dahilan na hindi rin natin paniwalaan si Piolo na hindi nga ang anak niya ang gumawa noon. Kasi nga, may kasabihan tayo na " the fruit does not fall far from the tree"; mabuting tao naman si Piolo at naniniwala ako na kahit super busy siya, may panahon naman siyang inilalaan para kausapin ang anak at mahahalata naman niya kung medyo lumalaking taliwas ito sa mabuting asal, di po ba?
Minsan tutuo din na parents are the last ones to know about their children's failings on good behavior, at para kay Piolo, tutuo man o hindi, take this as an opportunity to hold your son by the hand at paliwanagan mo siya na kung saka-sakali mang ma in-love ka sa ibang babae, hindi nangangahulugan iyon na mababawasan ang pagmamahal mo sa kanya. Kung tutuo, reprimand your son lovingly; explain to him why it was wrong and perhaps encourage him to own up to his faults by asking an apology from KC. Hindi na rin kailangang i pa press pa ito to protect naman Inigo's privacy, pero it is best to show him Piolo that you do not condone his act - kung saka-sakali ngang ginawa niya iyon.
On the other hand, kung talagang inosente iyong bata, this can be a traumatic experience for him (to be dragged into this controversy). Sa mga matatandang may alam nito, na pwedeng ginamit iyong bata para masira ang namumuong relationship between Piolo and KC, you won't succeed very far. Kung patatalo sina KC at Piolo sa isyung ito, their detractors will triumph for a moment, but not for long. Piolo will eventually fall in love with a woman, be it KC or another forthcoming. Mag-aasawa si Piolo, sooner or later, dahil he is not getting any younger and I believe that's also one of his dreams as a normally functioning-individual. So ano ang gagawin ninyo, pipigilan ulit? Sick!
For KC, don't worry, iha. Dito mo masusubok kung how stable Piolo is. Kaya ba niyang panindigan ka sa kahit sino? Hindi niya kailangang pumili, but he has to stand by his love for you and make other people in his life realize na hindi kabawasan sa kanila iyon.
God bless, KC, Piolo and Inigo! Give love a chance rather than give-in to misplaced fear that can "dress up" as hate.
